Why do women love high heel shoes so much?

Is it that high heels elongate our physique, makes us taller or shrink our bottoms by 25%?

Its most certainly all those things. I cannot think of any woman who would not like to be slimmer and taller.

In my opinion a woman’s love affair with high heel shoes lasts for approximately 45 years. My reason to assume this is most women would trade their stilettos in for flats at the time of retiring or older age. Research shows that my assumption is not far from the listed years of a womans love for high heels is 51.

It reveals that heel heights worn by women begins to rise in the mid teens, increasing rapidly from 2.5cm to a staggering height of 13.5cms by the age of 23.

Being tall is increasingly important through a woman’s late 20s and 30s, only starting to decline by the age of 35.

High heels continue to feature prominently in a woman’s wardrobe through her late 30s into her mid 40s. This is the period when many women are building a successful career.

The first decline in height only occurs in a woman’s late 40s and early 50s, when the average height drops to 4.5cms.

From 63 onwards, women tend to select a heel height of 2.5cm.

Its incredible that the research really does show a woman’s entire life can be mapped out according to the height of the heels she selects to wear.

Maybe its because I am an insane freak for high heels with an incredible fetish, but I could not imagine my life without wearing them several times a week. Yes thats possibly because I am still a working woman in her thirties, but I ask you, do you really ever grow out of your passions? I think you house your desires and passions for life!

Approximately one year ago I counted my collection which takes up one full large room. My collection consisted of 327 high heel shoes made up stilettos sandals, mules, pumps and peep toes and 89 pairs of boots from ankle boots to the extreme thigh highs crawling all the way up to my hips. My shoe wardrobe really is like walking into a fantasy land for women. Bold, vibrant colours, incredible unique leathers, innovative heel designs, the list is endless.
