Being a shoe designer as well as an apparel designer, I am conscious about the co-ordination of my shoes with my outfits. I seem to lean against things that flow harmoniously, even when they have a contrasting effect. Dynamic, striking outfits fill my wardrobe which interact with my shoes that seem to display much more passion, uniqueness and personality. Like a shoe lover should, my outfits usually seem to work around my selected daily stilettos.  This leads me to my questions;

Do our shoes display our personality?

Are shoes a reflection of how we feel?

Looking at all 867 pairs (yes i count them, it’s called obsession) of different designs that fill my incredible shoe wardrobe, they are all so unique, some classic, others bold and flamboyant, simplistic, trending setting, vibrant and display unique leathers and materials. Thinking about it carefully, I tend to select the design that best displays my feelings in that exact moment. If I am feeling quite bold and rebellious I select a very strong design in a vibrant colour or design that is considered to be quite unique, these are always the ones that turn heads. If I wake to be quite relaxed, soft and needing an easy day, it’s the classic beauties that always scream my name for my attention. Whatever mood I am in, one thing is most certain, every design captures a small piece of my personality. The sensual, the dynamic, the versatile, the bold, the unique and the elegant.

If I am correct in saying this, I am a whole lot of woman!
